Penza, 22 October 2012. PenzaNews. Police officer, who allegedly inflicted injuries to the citizen, may be dismissed from the department of internal affairs of the Penza region.

“According to the citizen’s written complaint, on September 27, 2012 in the office of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs the police officers inflicted injuries hitting him at least five times with feet and fists, and used against him a special device — a stun gun,” reported the press service of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

According to the ministry, the case is investigated.

“In the course of criminal investigative activities it was found that a detective of the criminal investigation department of the territorial police office of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia was involved in the crime. A criminal case on the grounds of an offense under paragraphs “a,” “b,” Art. 286 of the Criminal Code “Abuse of power,” the press service clarified.

According to the head of the criminal investigative department of the internal security of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Andrey Zherebtsov, in case the officer’s guilt is proved, he will be dismissed from the department on defamatory grounds.

“In addition, his immediate supervisors will be dismissed as well,” he stressed.
