38 criminal cases filed against minors in Penza region

Penza, 24 October 2012. PenzaNews. 38 criminal cases against minors were filed by the criminal authorities of Investigative Committee of Russia in the Penza region during 9 months of 2012.

“This year, teenagers committed three murders, one rape, two cases of violence against authority, two offenses against public health, and 30 property crimes: thefts, robberies, holdups,” informed the Senior Assistant of the Head of Investigative Department of Investigative Committee in Penza, Media relations division, Lyudmila Fomina.

She said that the use of violence or threat of violence by the juveniles, and open demonstration of their criminal intent is a way of self-expression and self-assertion.

Lyudmila Fomina added that a large number of crimes are committed by a group of juveniles, which is also a specific feature of adolescent psychology.

“Almost every third crime is committed by the juveniles together with adults,” she said.
