Bekovsky sugar factory fined for violation of environmental laws

Penza, 29 October 2012. PenzaNews. A number of environmental law violations were detected during the audit of LLC “Bekovsky sugar factory” located in the Penza region.

“In particular, the company does not comply with the laws of subsoil use – extraction of groundwater is carried out with violation of the license agreement. According to the audit results, the legal adviser of the company was fined in the amount of 20 thousand rubles,” reported the press service of the regional Service for Consumer Supervision of Russia.

The ministry added that non-compliance with environmental requirements was also found – papers for waste I–IV class of danger were not filed, employees with no special training were admitted to work in this area, no records about waste transmitted to other parties were made, full control of air protection is not carried out near the sources of emissions.

“Deputy Director for capital construction of Bekovsky sugar factory was brought to administrative responsibility in the form a fine of 13 thousand rubles,” the press service noted.

Furthermore, the company did not manage to make the payment for negative impact on the environment for three quarters, and the chief accountant of the factory was fined in the amount of three thousand rubles.

“In addition, LLC “Bekovsky sugar factory” operates dust extraction units with violation of the relevant rules. As a result, the legal entity is brought to administrative responsibility in the form of a fine of 10 thousand rubles,” explained the press service.

According to the audit results, orders to eliminate violations and report about elimination of the causes and conditions that caused administrative violations were issued.
