Penza, 31 October 2012. PenzaNews. A resident of the Penza region was sentenced for illegal purchase of drugs on a large scale.

According to the press service of Nizhnelomovsky area court, the Penza region, in August the man bought no less that 2138,06 grams of marijuana for personal use, which was later confiscated by law enforcement officers at the traffic police checkpoint during car inspection.

“During the investigation the man who has previously been convicted of drug trafficking, made a confession. He was found guilty of an offense under Part 2, Art. 228 of the Criminal Code. The accused was sentenced to imprisonment for a term of 3 years and 6 months in a penal colony,” the press service explained.
