Penza, 6 November 2012. PenzaNews. Training anti-tank mine TM-57 was found near the railroad track by the bridge over the river Ardym in Penza on Tuesday afternoon, November 6.

“The message that a suspicious object looking like a mine was found not far from the railroad track, was received from Penza branch of Kuibyshev Railway. Investigative team, the management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Penza region, representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Federal Security Service in the region, the State Fire Service, cynologists with dogs, as well as explosion engineer immediately started off to the scene. The place was cordoned off,” reported the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Penza region.

According to the authorities, the investigation found that the object was a training anti-tank mine TM-57.

“It is not dangerous, and it will be utilized later,” the press service explained.
