Penza, 8 November 2012. PenzaNews. Officer of interior security of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Penza suspected of causing body injury to a person at the police station was arrested on Wednesday, November 7.

“On September 22, 2012 at 3.00 a.m. the officer of internal security of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Penza inflicted injuries to Penza citizen, born 1977, who was taken to the police station No. 2 for a record according to Art. 20.21 of the Administrative Code “Appearance in a public place in a state of intoxication.” As a result of illegal actions of the police officer, the detainee received moderate injuries. The same day, the victim was hospitalized until October 15,”reported the press service of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

The press service stressed that a criminal case was filed according to paragraph “a” Part 3, Art. 286 of the Criminal Code “Abuse of power.”

“At present, the Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Penza region has appointed investigation, according to the results of which the police officer will be dismissed from the service on defamatory grounds. In addition, strict disciplinary punishment will be applied to his supervisors,” the press service emphasized.
