Penza, 9 November 2012. PenzaNews. Investigation of the criminal case against the Director General of the asphalt plant No.1, who was accused of tax evasion to the amount of over 44 million, is closed.

“It was detected that in the period from July 2008 to March 2010, a limited liability company “ABZ No.1” had contractual relationships with three contractors. Two companies, which according to the documentation were aggregate suppliers, could not meet their obligations due to lack of resources for conducting financial activities. In accordance with municipal and state contracts, the third contractor acted as a subcontractor of “ABZ No.1.” However, the investigation revealed that the entire amount of contractual work was executed by “ABZ No.1” only,” commented the Senior Assistant of the Head of Investigative Department of Investigative Committee in Penza, Media relations division, Lyudmila Fomina.

She explained that the defendant being the Director General and accountant of LLC “ABZ No.1” committed tax evasion on a large scale by deliberately providing false information on VAT return and income tax.

“In the course of investigation they identified and questioned witnesses, held accounting audit, multiple inspections and seizures of documents relevant to the case. Moreover, before filing the case they took measures to compensate for the damage caused by the crime — arrested enterprise accounts, submitted collection orders, and claims for taxes payment,” the agency interlocutor informed.
