Penza, 19 November 2012. PenzaNews. Police officers detained a 32-year-old previously convicted unemployed man suspected of stealing 12 pigeons from the building of a bathhouse.

“According to the detainee, earlier he also bred pigeons and committed a crime because of the longing for his hobby,” reported the press service of the Interior Ministry of the Russian Federation in the Penza region.

The Ministry noted that all the birds were returned to the rightful owner.

“According to preliminary data, the damage caused to the owner of pigeons was 12 thousand rubles. A criminal investigation into the theft is underway,” the press service concluded.
