One person was killed in a road accident that occurred in Pobeda Avenue in Penza at 17.55 on Sunday, November 18. “According to preliminary information, a 14-year-old driver of Hyundai Sonata was moving from the city center with excessive speed. Near the house 89, after heavy braking at a red light, he lost control, drove into oncoming traffic and collided with VAZ-21114 car and trolleybus standing at the bus stop,” explained the inspector of promotion of road traffic safety of the regional department of the Traffic Police Marina Antipova.

According to her, a 60-year-old driver of VAZ-21114 died at the scene.

“A 33-year-old passenger of the foreign car was hospitalized with a closed head injury, brain concussion and a fractured zygomatic bone of the upper jaw. The teenager, who was driving, got a compound wound of soft tissues of the head, and was allowed to go home,” she added.

By unconfirmed information, the 14-year old teenager was driving home his father who was in a state of intoxication and decided not to drive drunk.
