70 thousand doses of heroin arrested in train “Penza – Vladivostok”

Penza, 28 November 2012. PenzaNews. About 3,5 kg of heroin, which is over 70 thousand doses were arrested by the officers of the Trans-Baikal department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia on the passenger train No.134 direction “Penza – Vladivostok.”

“Drugs were carried by three passengers: two men, one of whom is the citizen of Azerbaijan, and a woman from Irkutsk, born 1979. Heroin was in the box of sweets and two packs of juice of two-liter volume. Each package had a bundle of polyethylene tied with sticky tape. The approximate cost of drugs is 14 million rubles,” reported the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The ministry clarified that heroin presumably comes from Pakistan.

“Criminal transport police officers found that the couriers transported the packages from Omsk to Primorsky Krai. The criminal case has been filed. The investigation is ongoing,” added the press service.
