Penza, 29 November 2012. PenzaNews. Zarechny City Court considered the case of the copyright claim by a local resident to the individual entrepreneur, the founder of the newspaper, which illegally used a photo taken by the plaintiff.

“The court found that the newspaper neglected indicating the name of the author when placing his photo in one of newspaper editions. This fact was not disputed by the defendant and his representative, neither was the fact that the use of photo was not agreed with the author,” the press service Zarechny City Court reported.

“According to the decision of the court, the newspaper founder is to pay the compensation for moral damage in the amount of five thousand rubles, the compensation for the violation of the exclusive rights to the product — 10 thousand rubles, as well as the cost of the government fee — 600 rubles. The rest of the claims submitted by the plaintiff were rejected. The decision has not come into force yet,” the press service explained.
