Issa, 30 November 2012. PenzaNews. A resident of Issinsky district, the Penza region, also a police officer, who was a participant of a road accident, and left the scene, was deprived of driver’s license for 1,5 year.

The day after the incident, the man was dismissed from the service. According to the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, this decision was based on a report filed by the officer long before the accident.

According to the local newspaper “Vpered,” the former police officer was convicted of an offence under Part 2, Art. 12.27 of the Administrative Code “Neglect of duty connected with a traffic accident.”
