Penza, 4 December 2012. PenzaNews. The court will hear a case against a resident of Penza, accused of committing crimes under paragraph “c” Part 2, Art. 241 of the Criminal Code “Organization of prostitution,” and Part 3, Art. 240 of the Criminal Code “Involving in prostitution.”

“According to the investigation, from June 2010 to July 2012 the 36-year-old defendant organized and maintained an organization providing paid sexual services, which were advertised in the media and on the Internet. The defendant involved in prostitution at least six young women, three of whom were minors under the age of 17. Most of them came from problematic families or orphanages. The women provided sexual services at the rented apartments held by the defendant,” commented the Senior Assistant of the Head of Investigative Department of Investigative Committee in Penza, Media relations division, Lyudmila Fomina.

According to her, one of the young women, not willing to continue providing the service, was beaten, and later she was able to report to the police, after which the defendant was arrested.

“The defendant was detained. The woman did not plead guilty. Currently, the investigation has gathered enough evidence to send the criminal case to the court for consideration on the merits,” the agency interlocutor explained.
