Penza, 7 December 2012. PenzaNews. A criminal case against a resident of Kuznetsk, the Penza region, accused of raping and killing an 8-year-old girl, was sent to the court on Friday, December 7.

“The man is accused of committing crimes under paragraph “b,” Part 4, Art. 131 “Rape,” paragraph “b,” Part 4, Art. 132 “Sexual assault,” paragraph “c, k,” Part 2, Art. 105 “Murder,” Part 1, Art. 158 of the Criminal Code “Theft,” explained the Senior Assistant Attorney of the region Yuliya Makarova.

As previously reported, on June 12, 2012 in the evening an 8-year-old girl was going home from a holiday event without parents’ supervision. On the way, she met a 23-year-old local resident who fraudulently led her to his home, committed sexual assault, and strangled her.

In order to hide the evidence of the crime the suspect hid child’s body into the lower compartment of the couch and left the crime scene. However, later the perpetrator was detained and taken into custody.
