Penza, 26 December 2012. PenzaNews. Over one thousand slot machines were confiscated by the police from illegal casinos of the Penza region from the beginning of 2012. This was stated by the detective of the department of economic security and anti-corruption of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the region police major Konstantin Volkov on Wednesday, December 26.
“Three hundred machines have been destroyed,” he said.
According to the police major, this year two criminal cases were filed under Art. 146 of the Criminal Code “Violation of copyright and related rights,” and one criminal case under Art. 171.2 of the Criminal Code “Illegal organization and conduct of gambling” was sent to the court.
“Over 50 administrative reports were drawn up. The courts imposed fines in the total amount of over 1,5 million rubles,” the press office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Penza region quoted Konstantin Volkov.
