Penza, 27 December 2012. PenzaNews. A resident of Pachelmsky area, the Penza region received seven days in jail for untimely payment of 300 rubles fine for appearing in a public place while intoxicated.

“The citizen had to pay the fine within 30 days after entry of the court’s ruling but failed to do it. Bailiff drew up a report and forwarded it to the justice’s court. The judge sentenced the man to administrative detention,” the expert in media relations of the regional administration of federal service of judicial bailiffs Ksenia Pivovarova told news agency “PenzaNews.”

She stressed that an administrative penalty in the form of arrest does not relieve the citizen from the obligation to pay the fine.
