Former heads of Federation of Trade Unions of Penza region suspected of fraud

Penza, 11 January 2013. PenzaNews. Former heads of the Federation of Trade Unions of the Penza region are suspected of committing a crime under Part 4, Art. 159 of the Criminal Code “Fraud committed by an organized group, or fraud committed on a large scale.” This was stated by the first deputy head of Investigative Committee of Russia in the region Rustam Tugushev during a press conference on Friday, January 11.

“According to the investigation, the former leadership of the Federation of Trade Unions illegally sold sanatorium “Polesie” belonging to the organization at the price of 4 million rubles, whereas, according to the experts, the value of the property is no less than 42 million rubles,” he explained.

Rustam Tugushev underlined that immediately after the transaction the new owner of the building leased it to the Federation of Trade Unions of the Penza region.

“Currently, the investigators are looking into property of other illegal transactions. It is possible that there will be several of those,” he concluded.
