Penza, 15 January 2013. PenzaNews. The employees of the department of economic security and anti-corruption of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Penza region registered 33 cases of bribery in the sphere of education in 2012. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry in an interview with news agency PenzaNews on Tuesday, January 15.

“14 criminal cases were filed, criminal charges were brought against six people,” the press service added.

The ministry specified that corruption activities were stopped in the educational institutions of Penza, Kamenka, Zarechny, and Kuznetsk.

“In particular, Associate Professor of one of the Penza universities was detained for receiving bribes from students for test approval for a total amount of about 15 thousand rubles,” the press service noted.
