Murderer of woman asking alms sentenced to 8,5 years of imprisonment in Serdobsk

Penza, 13 February 2013. PenzaNews. The man, who killed a 56-year-old pensioner with a disability asking alms together with his 23-year-old daughter at the church in Serdobsk, the Penza region, was sentenced to 8,5 years of imprisonment in a penal colony.

“In addition, he is charged 150 thousand rubles in favor of the victim’s daughter for causing moral damage,” commented the Senior Assistant of the Head of Investigative Department of Investigative Committee in Penza, Media relations division, Lyudmila Fomina.

She reminded that the murder was committed on October 14, 2012, when the victim and the convict's daughter had an argument.

“According to investigators, the man followed the pensioner to her house, where he stabbed her on the neck, after which she died on the spot. Making sure that the victim showed no signs of life, the daughter of the murderer stole her money in the amount of 7 thousand rubles, after which the family fled the scene of the crime,” the agency interlocutor explained.

According to Lyudmila Fomina, the man and the woman, both residents of Serdobsky area, were put on the federal wanted list.

“On October 27 the father was arrested in the Voronezh region and taken into custody. The criminal case against the convict's daughter, who stole the victim's money, was allocated in a separate proceeding until they find her,” Lyudmila Fomina explained.
