Two residents of Zarechny accused of assaulting police officers

Zarechny, 19 February 2013. PenzaNews. Two years of imprisonment with a probation period of two years were appointed to two residents of Zarechny, the Penza region for causing body injuries to police officers performing official duties.

“The incident occurred in the recreation area “Lesnaya.” The police patrol noticed two men speaking loudly using foul language. In response to the legitimate demands of the authorities to stop illegal actions, one of the offenders struck one of the police officers on the neck, and the other man attacked his partner punching him in the head, then he bit his finger,” the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Penza region reported to news agency “PenzaNews.”

The ministry added that during the trial the men fully admitted their guilt.

“The police officers do not consider appealing the verdict,” the press service noted.
