Penza, 27 February 2013. PenzaNews. The regional department of traffic police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia provided details of a car accident, which occurred near village Uhtinka, Bessonovsky area, the Penza region on Wednesday morning, February 27.

“It was established that at 6:45 two boys aged 9 and 10 years walked to school. While crossing the road at the unregulated pedestrian crossing, Opel Omega car ran over them. As a result of the accidents one boy died on the spot of the injuries, and the other one died in the regional children’s hospital named after Filatov shortly after hospitalization,” explained the inspector of promotion of road traffic safety of the regional department of the Traffic Police Marina Antipova.

According to her, a few minutes after the accident, the suspect was arrested by the police at the accident scene.

“It was a 46-year-old resident of Penza. He has been sent for a medical examination,” the agency interlocutor concluded.
