The sentence, according to which the person responsible for the car accident, which occurred in Pobeda Avenue in Penza, with two dead victims, including a child, was set for 6 years and 8 months of imprisonment in a penal colony with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of three years, entered into force on Wednesday, March 6.

As the Senior Assistant Attorney of the Penza region Yuliya Makarova reported to news agency “PenzaNews,” the convict appealed against the sentence brought by Leninsky District Court of Penza on 24 December 2012, but the appeal was dismissed.

“Moreover, the court recovered compensation for moral damage in the amount of 800 thousand rubles in favor of the mother of the victim and the husband, who is also the father of the child,” the agency interlocutor added.
