Kuznetsk, 20 March 2013. PenzaNews. A resident of Kuznetsk, the Penza region was sentenced to three months of imprisonment for a false report of an impending explosion in a building in Gagarina St on 17 November 2012.

As the Senior Assistant Attorney of the Penza region Yuliya Makarova explained to news agency “PenzaNews,” the offender was drunk at the moment of the crime.

“Having received the message of a planned terrorist act, the police and health workers went to the place of presumable accident. Thus, the false report of an explosion distracted from work the specialists who are supposed to help the citizens in emergency situations,” the agency interlocutor said.

According to her, the man admitted his guilt and repented during the trial.
