Penza resident transferred around 32 thousand rubles to swindlers to unblock her debit card

Penza, 16 April 2013. PenzaNews. A resident of Penza transferred 31,800 rubles to a swindler pretending to be a bank employee.

“According to the victim, on Monday afternoon, April 15, she received a phone call from a stranger who presented himself as a bank employee, and informed her that her banking card was blocked. Following the instruction of the caller, the victim transferred the money to two customer numbers registered in the Samara region," the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Penza region commented to news agency “PenzaNews.”

The department noted that the incident is investigated, the identities of people involved in the fraud are being established.
