Penza, 26 April 2013. PenzaNews. 51 people were killed and 478 injured in 363 traffic accidents which occurred in the Penza region from January to March 2013. The head of the traffic police department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Penza region Sergey Buylov stated during the eighth session of the regional parliament on Friday, April 26.

“35 accidents happened in a state of intoxication with 6 people killed and 50 injured. 137 accidents were registered with pedestrians, resulting in 20 people killed and 128 injured,” he said, noting that 69,3% of the total number of accidents happened outside the crosswalk.

Sergei Buylov added that there were also 42 accidents involving children and adolescents under the age of 16, in which two people were killed and 44 injured.
