Murder suspect arrested in Penza

Penza, 29 April 2013. PenzaNews. Police detained a suspect in the murder of a resident of Penza, whose body was found in his own apartment in Tretiy Proezd Rachmaninova St.
“The body of an unemployed, previously convicted man, born 1968, was found in his apartment on Saturday evening, April 27. The body had stab wounds on the chest and back areas, as well as multiple bruises and abrasions on the head. When the body was discovered, the time of death was around 5 hours,” the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Penza region told news agency “PenzaNews.”
The department explained that an investigative group immediately arrived at the murder scene.
“Description of the suspect was sent to all police stations. As a result, he was arrested by the police patrol No. 2 in Suvorova Street on Sunday, April 28. The suspect appeared to be a previously convicted resident of Penza, born 1940, who allegedly stabbed his friend several times during a drunken brawl,” the department added.
