Penza, 14 May 2013. PenzaNews. Ten people were killed and nine were injured to varying degrees of severity as a result of the collision of three vehicles — Volkswagen minibus, Freightliner truck, and Chevrolet Lacetti, which occurred on the road Penza – Tambov on Tuesday morning, May 14.

“This information is still being verified,” the group of propaganda of Traffic Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Penza region told news agency “PenzaNews.”

Earlier, eleven people were reported dead in the tragic accident.

As news agency PenzaNews reported earlier, the accident occurred around 8.00 am on Tuesday, May 14, near village Konstantinovka, the Penza region.

Volkswagen minibus with 18 passengers from Tajikistan collided with Freightliner truck followed by Chevrolet Lacetti which is also a participant of the accident.

Presumably, the driver of the minibus lost control and drove onto the oncoming traffic lane.

Traffic police officers and emergency specialists are currently working on the site of the accident.
