Zarechny, 23 May 2013. PenzaNews. The police confiscated grenade RGD-5 [Distance Hand Grenade] with a fuse and about 400 rounds of ammunition for fire-arms and non-lethal weapon from a garage of a 22-year-old resident of Zarechny, the Penza region.

“In the course of operational and search activities, the young man was arrested on the territory of garage co-operative society. In his garage in a plastic bag, the police found 330 rounds of 5,6 mm caliber, 38 hunting rounds of 12 mm caliber, 15 rounds of ammunition for traumatic gun Osa, and a hand grenade RGD-5 with a fuse, 1976 year of release. The detainee explained that he found the ammunition in the woods near village Zolotarevka,” the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs told news agency “PenzaNews.”

The ministry clarified that the fact is under investigation.
