Penza, 27 May 2013. PenzaNews. According to preliminary information, an ambulance team suffered in an accident involving a taxi, which occurred at the intersection of Suvorova St and Kulakova St in Penza on Sunday morning, May 26.

According to witnesses, the ambulance was moving down Suvorova St from the center and the taxi was turning from Kulakova St.

According to some reports, the ambulance was presumably carrying a patient to the City Hospital named after G. Zakharyin, but this information has not been confirmed yet.

The taxi driver was seriously injured.

The traffic police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Penza region are investigating the circumstances of the accidents, particularly, whether ambulance priority crossing flash lights and sound signals were on at the moment of crossing.
