Penza, 30 May 2013. PenzaNews. Preliminary investigation was initiated on the fact of assault and battery of a 14-year-old schoolgirl by her peers near the train track in Vyazemskogo St in Penza.

“The girl turned to the hospital on May 21. She was diagnosed with a concussion, closed head injury, vertebral compression fracture, as well as abrasions on her arms and legs. According to preliminary information, the injuries were caused to her by the girls, acquaintances of hers, during an argument on the grounds of personal hostility on May 20. It was found that the meeting was pre-planned,” the press service of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the Penza region told news agency “PenzaNews.”

The department added that currently the police is investigating all the circumstances of the incident including severity of injuries and personal information about the people involved in the fight.

“The victim is currently at the hospital. Further actions will be undertaken based on the results of investigation,” the department clarified.
