Penza, 31 May 2013. PenzaNews. Several dozens of Muslims blocked the driveway near the mosque, located in Bakunina St in Penza protesting against the towing of the car of one of the parishioners, which was parked with violation of the traffic rules.

According to the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the citizens began to gather by the mosque at 14.00 on Friday, May 31.

“To ensure public order, police officers were immediately sent to the place. No victims were registered, and none of the participants of an unauthorized protest was detained. The car that caused the incident, was successfully towed,” the department explained.

The regional Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia noted that the police officers continue supervising the situation on the spot.

“The circumstances of the incident are investigated. The driveway was unblocked,” the press service clarified.
