Resident of Penza region cut down oak trees for 806 thousand rubles to build fence

Penza, 19 June 2013. PenzaNews. 22-year-old resident of village Moshki, Bekovsky area, the Penza region is suspected of illegal cutting of six oaks total worth of 806 thousand rubles, which he wanted to use in the manufacture of a new fence for his house.

According to the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the suspect’s neighbor who provided a horse and a cart helped the man carry the trunks to the yard.

“The cut up trees were kept in the yard, where they were found by the police officers,” the department explained.

The press service added that a criminal case was filed on this fact.
