Penza, 20 June 2013. PenzaNews. A penalty of a fine of 150 thousand rubles was appointed to a resident of Shemisheysky area, the Penza region, who offered a bribe to a police officer in the amount of 5 thousand rubles, after having been caught driving while intoxicated.

“The incident took place in April 2013. The man was arrested by a police officer on Penza — Shemysheyka — Lopatino road and taken to the police department for filing an administrative report on Part 1, Art. 12.8 of the Administrative Code “Driving in state of alcohol intoxication, vehicle control transfer to person in state of intoxication,” the Senior Assistant Attorney of the Penza region Yuliya Makarova told news agency “PenzaNews.”

She added that the man tried to buy off directly at the police station, but his illegal actions were suppressed.

“The decision of the court has not entered into force yet, and may be appealed within the statutory period,” the agency interlocutor noted.
