Penza, 21 June 2013. PenzaNews. A resident of village Zagoskino, the Penza region, born 1961, is suspected of burning the house, which he was forced to share with his ex-wife.

“Earlier, the suspect was a successful entrepreneur — the money he earned by breeding pigs allowed him to build a house for his family. However, later, the man got addicted to alcohol, after which his wife filed for divorce. Since she had nowhere to go, the court made a decision to divide the house into two halves, where the former spouses began to live separately. The woman made a separate entrance to her half of the building and constructed a wall inside of the house. As the ex-husband admitted later, he felt resentment at her, he waited until the woman left the house, made a hole in the wall and threw there a burning rag,” the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in the Penza region told news agency “PenzaNews.”

The ministry noted that the neighbors noticed the fire, thanks to them the building burned from the inside only partially.

“A criminal case was filed on the fact of deliberate damage of another person’s property,” the press service added.
