The driver of Toyota Corolla, born 1986, injured in an accident involving three trucks at 640th km of federal highway M5 “Ural” near Penza is a resident of the Orenburg region. “A man, whose car got burned completely, was hospitalized in the regional hospital named after N. Burdenko. He received second- and third-degree burns,” the press service said.

The department also explained the circumstances of the accident.

“According to preliminary information, at 14.45 on Thursday, June 20, the driver of DAF with a semi-trailer, who is a resident of Zarechny violated the distance limit and collided with a passenger car in front of him. After that Toyota Corolla crashed into another DAF truck with a semi-trailer controlled by a driver from Kaluga, who then produced a collision with heavy truck Volvo driven by a resident from Lipetsk,” the department said.

The press service added that further details of the accident are still under investigation.
