Proceedings initiated against Penza resident who unleashed her dog on police officer

Penza, 3 July 2013. PenzaNews. A criminal case against a resident of Penza who unleashed her dog on a police officer was sent to the court for consideration on the merits.
“The incident occurred in a green area where the woman in a state of intoxication was walking her dog without a muzzle or leash. When the police officer tried to arrest her for an administrative offense, she commanded to the dog to “get him.” After which her pet attacked the police officer causing slight damage to his health,” the Senior Assistant Attorney of the region Yuliya Makarova told news agency “PenzaNews.”
She added that the dog owner was charged with an offense under Part 2, Art. 318 of the Criminal Code “Use of violence against representative of law,” which provides for the punishment of imprisonment for up to 10 years.
