Traffic police: Children injured in two road accidents involving bicycles near Penza

Penza, 2 August 2013. PenzaNews. Two children were injured in two different accidents involving cyclists in the Penza region over the past day.
“In Bashmakovo village, a teenaged boy, born 1998, was injured when riding a bicycle. He was hit by a man, born 1962, driving VAZ-21041. The teenager was hospitalized with a closed head injury, concussion, abrasions on the face, and a spine injury,” said the group of propaganda of the Traffic Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the region.
The traffic police added that there was also a road accident in Bekovsky area where VAZ-21074 hit a girl, born 2009. The girl was on a passenger seat of a bicycle.
“The child and a woman, born 1984, were taken to the hospital with head injuries, bruises and fractures,” the representative of the Traffic Police Department told news agency “PenzaNews.”
The ministry noted that both accidents are under investigation.
