Penza, 20 August 2013. PenzaNews. A nurse at one of the hospitals in Pervomaysky district in Penza is suspected of stealing drugs using her official position.

“It was established that the woman had access to drugs authorized in health care due to the nature of her professional duties. In April 2013, for the purpose of illegal enrichment she had been stealing drugs: before making an injection to a patient from a vial with promedol, she filled a clean syringe with half of the drug, and the remaining volume she filled with other medicines. The nurse passed the syringe with the drug to her roommate for sale,” the Senior Assistant Attorney of the Penza region Yuliya Makarova told news agency “PenzaNews.”

She said that a criminal case was instituted under paragraph “c,” “d” Part 2, Art. 229 of the Criminal Code.

“The course of the investigation is under control of the District Attorney of Pervomaysky district of Penza,” the agency interlocutor noted.
