Penza, 23 September 2013. PenzaNews. Two residents of Issinsky area, the Penza region, aged 21 and 22, are suspected of committing a series of car thefts.

“According to preliminary information, in Issa, the young men stole VAZ-2101 in order to go to village Lunino to visit friends. After an accident with their participation, they left the car in village Bulychevo and stole another car — VAZ-2107, which they abandoned when ran out of gasoline. Then the young men stole UAZ, on which they came to Penza,” the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs told news agency “PenzaNews.”

The ministry noted that criminal cases have been instituted based on all cases of car thefts.

“The suspects have been detained under Art. 91 of the Criminal Code and are currently held in the police station,” the press service added.
