Penza, 4 October 2013. PenzaNews. Hostage-taking was simulated in the sports and entertainment complex “Diesel-Arena” during the counter terrorism exercise, conducted in Penza on Friday, 4 October.

The representative of the temporary Emergency Operations center press office in the Penza region told news agency PenzaNews that hockey players of the youth team “Dieselist” were taken hostage.

“The “attackers” have not contacted us so far, neither have they put forward any demands. The area near the sport complex in cordoned off,” the spokesman said.

He noticed that the counter-terrorism operation is conducted under the supervision of the Emergency Operations center in the Penza region.
