Penza, 4 October 2013. PenzaNews. News agency PenzaNews photo correspondent Maksim Kostyushin, having arrived in the sports and entertainment complex “Diesel”by the agency order, was detained by security services as part of counter terrorism exercise, which took place in Penza on Friday, 4 October, and was held for two hours before clarification.

For this time they confiscated all his personal belongings – wallet with money and documents, MEDIA ID, keys, and cell phone.

"After I parked the car near the sports complex where the exercise has not yet formally started, I was approached by a police officer who offered to pass the checkpoint, we went to the car located 500 meters from “Diesel-Arena”. They put my things into a bag, and get me in the car. I was taken to the place where some people, apparently, the police and the FSB, interviewed me and asked for explanation," said the photojournalist.

He added that after confirming the information about the identity and the place of work, he was taken to the Penza region Emergency Operations center.

As news agency PenzaNews reported earlier, the large-scale anti-terrorism exercise, conducted in Penza on Friday, 4 October, are as close to real conditions as possible.

The legend says that in the morning, "terrorists", which still remains unknown, captured a group of hockey players.

According to the temporary press office of the Emergency Operations center in the Penza region, the conditional mode of the counter-terrorist operation is introduced now, all efforts are made to ensure the safety of the hostages and neutralizing the "criminals".
