Businessman fined 60 thousand rubles for organizing gambling for children in Penza

Penza, 1 November 2013. PenzaNews. Two fines in the amount of 30 thousand each were assigned to the individual entrepreneur, residing in the Smolensk region, who organized gambling for children in Penza.

“The businessman set two items of gaming equipment of the type of a grab machine on Kommunisticheskaya Street and Pobeda Avenue in Penza. These machines are colorfully designed and attract children’s attention as well as fluffy toys inside. They are the main prize in this game,” the senior assistant attorney of the Penza region Yuliya Makarova told news agency “PenzaNews.”

She explained that, in accordance with the federal law, information causing children’s desire to take part in games of chance is prohibited.

“In addition to bringing to administrative responsibility in the form of a fine under Part 1 Art. 14.1.1 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation “Illegal organization of gambling”, the prosecutor of Leninsky district of Penza filed two statements of claim to Yartsevsky district court of the Smolensk region for the benefit of a number of unspecified non-adults for the recognition the business of the individual entrepreneur illegal and its termination. The statements of claim are under consideration,” the agency interlocutor said.
