Head foreman flees accident scene knocking down pedestrian in Penza region

Penza, 8 November 2013. PenzaNews. 40-year-old head foreman from Perm driving a Toyota car was detained on suspicion of having committed a road traffic accident at 484 km of the Federal highway M5 “Ural” in the territory of Spassky area of the Penza region, in the result of which a 53-year-old pedestrian got serious injuries.
The press service of the regional department of Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation told news agency PenzaNews that the offender fled the accident scene, but the witnesses managed to memorize the car features.
“The information was immediately transferred to all traffic posts and routes. After a while an alike car with a registration number of the Perm territory was detained,” the department said.
It was added in the department that the check is being conducted upon the accident.
“The victim is in the hospital. He is diagnosed with the ruptured spleen, blunt abdominal trauma and traumatic shock,” the press service said.
