Penza, 11 November 2013. PenzaNews. Illegal activities of 22 gambling establishments, operating in Penza, Kuznetsk and Nikolsky area, were curbed by the officers of the department of economic security and anti-corruption of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in the course of the large-scale operation lasted for three days.

“The surreptitious clubs worked behind closed doors. To inform the clients the organizers sent SMS with code words and passwords for entering. Unaware people were not allowed in. The police confiscated 208 pieces of gaming equipment, including the so-called lottery terminal,” the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs told news agency “PenzaNews.”

The department added that currently measures are being taken to establish identities of the organizers of the illegal business and bring them to justice.
