Penza, 18 November 2013. PenzaNews. Over 148 thousand vodka bottles of more than 50 thousand liters were confiscated during the search conducted in warehouses of two wholesale organizations located in Penza.

“Officers of the department of economic security and anti-corruption of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs received information on illegal trafficking of alcohol products in the territory of the region. There was conducted a test purchase to confirm the information. Police experts determined that alcohol was labeled with falsified federal marks,” the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Penza region told news agency “PenzaNews.”

The office said that the criminal case was initiated upon the fact.

“At present channels of purchasing and selling products through retail networks are being identifying as well as their producers. Samples of alcohol were sent to be researched for substances of hazardous nature to life and health,” the press service said.
