Penza resident admits robbing passerby after 8 years

“Around midnight the unknown attacked a passerby causing bodily harm and then stole a cell phone and a backpack with personal belongings. The police did not manage to arrest the attacker straight away. The criminal case was initiated upon the fact of robbery. During eight years, the officers of the Criminal Investigation Department collected information bit by bit that eventually led to the trail of the suspect. He was a local man, who at the time of the offense was 17 years old,” the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation told news agency “PenzaNews.”
The department added that the arrested admitted committing the crime.
“Currently, all the circumstances of the incident are being studied,” the press service said.
