In Penza man who got down by wire from roof to his wife’s balcony to stand trial

Penza, 29 November 2013. PenzaNews. 31-year-old Penza resident, who got down by wire from the roof of multi-story house to the balcony of the flat on the sixth floor, in order to clarify the relationships with his wife, will stand trial on the charge of committing a crime, described in Part 1, Art. 139 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Violation of the Inviolability of the Home.”

“According to the investigation, the incident happened late in the evening of 12 October 2013. The accused came to the place where his wife lived with relatives and a small child to clarify the relationships with the woman. The wife’s relatives rejected his demand to let him in, then the man kicked the front door several times, thus damaging it outside. Afterwards, the accused climbed to the roof of the apartment building from where he got down by electric wires to the balcony on the sixth floor and broke into the apartment where he was detained by the police,” the Senior Assistant of the Head of the Investigative Department of Investigative Committee in Penza, Media relations division, Lyudmila Fomina told news agency “PenzaNews.”

She reminded that the inviolability of the home is one of the fundamental principles enshrined in the Constitution of the Russian Federation.

“Sometimes people in certain circumstances forget about it pursuing their aim,” the agency interlocutor remarked.

Lyudmila Fomina said that at present there has been collected sufficient evidentiary base and the criminal case with the approved indictment was submitted to the court for consideration on the merits.
