The management of the department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in the Penza region checks into careless use of traumatic weapon, which led to the injury of a 29-year-old detainee escort police officer of the intermunicipal division of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation “Tamalinsky.”

“According to preliminary information, on Sunday, December 1, in the annex to the house property in Tamala, a police officer taught his wife rules of weapon handling out of hours. When the woman was holding the gun, there was a spontaneous shot, resulting in her husband’s getting a serious wound of his right eye. Immediately after the accident the wife called an ambulance, the victim was hospitalized in the regional hospital,” the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs told news agency “PenzaNews.”

The department noted that no one else was hurt in the accident.

“The report on the check will be filed to the competent authorities for making procedural decision,” the department added.
