Penza, 10 December 2013. PenzaNews. A 24-year-old Penza resident who stabbed a neighbor, dismembered the corpse and threw the body wrapped in a carpet in a trash container in the yard of the residential house in Severnaya Street, sentenced for 13,5 years to a colony of strict regime.

“It was established that at night of 12 June 2013, the victim was in the apartment of the accused person. In the course of a quarrel, the host being drunk beat the guest and then stabbed him three times, from which he died. In order to conceal the evidence, the man dismembered the corpse and together with his friend, who had come to visit him, threw the body wrapped in a carpet in a trash container near the house. Suspicious behavior of the men was spotted by neighbors who immediately called the police,” the Senior Assistant Head of the Investigative Department of Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in Penza, Media relations, Lyudmila Fomina told news agency “PenzaNews.”

She added that, according to the convict, the reason for the offense was victim’s insulting his common-law wife.

“The friend of the man was fined in the amount of 50 thousand rubles for harboring a particularly serious crime. The verdict has not come into force yet and may be appealed against within the term established by the law,” the agency interlocutor concluded.
