Case of sale of offices in Penza government sent to court

Penza, 17 December 2013. PenzaNews. The criminal case against two businessmen who promised another person help in obtaining the position of the first Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Penza region was filed to the Frunzensky District Court of Saratov for examination on the merits.
As the press service of the Prosecutor’s General Office of the Russian Federation told news agency “PenzaNews,” the general director of LLC SpetsStroiEnergo Magomed Iliev and the executive director of LLC Women’s Business Club Maria Akhlupkina are accused of attempted fraud on a large scale.
“According to the investigation, on 26 July 2013, the businessmen proposed to one of the citizens to get the post of the first Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Penza region. They calculated the cost of the service and it was 40 million rubles. While getting the advance in the amount of 15 million rubles, the associates were detained by the police,” the press service said.
The press service added that the preventive measure in the form of detention was imposed to Magomed Iliev, and in the form of a travel ban and good conduct – to Maria Akhlupkina.
“The criminal case was investigated by the interregional investigative division of the investigative unit of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate of Russia in the Volga Federal District. The Directorate of the Prosecutor’s General Office of the Russian Federation in the Volga Federal District supervised the pre-trial investigation of the criminal case,” the press service said.
